The former U.S. President Donald Trump having been banned from his favorite social network decided to create his own social network.
Indeed, after his departure from the White House on January 6, Donald Trump was banned from most of the social networks he loved so much.
The president's social network
Jason Miller close advisor to the former White House tenant thus spoke in these terms:
I think we will see President Trump back on social networks probably in two or three months with his own platform
He also added, It's not just one company that approached the president, there are many companies, and
this new platform will be something big, everyone wants it, it will bring millions and millions, tens of millions of subscribers to this new platform
The banning of Donald Trump followed the invasion of the Capitol by his supporters, causing the death of five people including a police officer.
Changing the rules
Twitter had announced on Friday, March 19, to review its moderation policy regarding political leaders around the world. The social network announced the implementation of an international questionnaire to collect the opinion of its users.
The way political and government leaders use our service is constantly evolving. We want our measures to remain relevant to the shifting nature of political discourse on Twitter and to protect the proper balance of public conversation,
The platform explained.
Thus, the former American president wishes to have his own social network from which he could not be banned under the pretext of his posts which would be inappropriate.
Will this network be a reality? Will it be as successful as Trump's other favorite platforms?
So many questions that the future will answer.
